Marina is located in Dalmatia and is probably one of the most beautiful spots on earth.
Deep blue, crystal clear water surrounds the idyllic port city, which is nestled in a sheltered bay.

Marina also has 15 other municipalities in the area. In the picturesque harbor is the historic fortified tower of Marina, which used to be part of a fort, but is the only remains of it that have been preserved.

Olives, figs and pine trees

The place is known for its pretty beaches, where you can find shade from the sun under olive and pine trees. The wine cellars, where you can get an insight into the local wine-growing culture and some of which can be visited, are particularly appreciated. Marina is also known for its excellent fish, which can be enjoyed fresh and finely prepared everywhere.

Wonderful beaches with crystal clear water

There are numerous swimming opportunities along the coast. The beach mostly consists of fine pebbles. The light underground does not heat up too much in the sun, so it is pleasant to spend a cozy day on the beach even in midsummer. The shores run flat out into the sea and therefore the area is also well suited for beach holidays with children.

Beach with bar and infrastructure

The beaches have a good infrastructure and there are sometimes even showers. Snacks can also be bought and if you need some entertainment, you can rent a pedal boat and take it out into the calm Mediterranean Sea and enjoy a few nice moments in and on the clear water. The beach of Marina is also provided with a lifeguard post in summer, who monitors the activity on the beach and in the water and thus offers additional security.

From recreational to adventure vacation is possible

There is a lot to see all around. It is worthwhile to go to the Sv. Filipa i Jakova, which is located on the hill Plice. The cave is about 60 meters deep and 10 meters wide and there is a small chapel at the entrance. Every year on the first of May, the cave is a destination for pilgrims. There are also numerous other churches in Marina, some of which are ancient and well preserved. Other possibilities for excursions are a trip to the historical city of Trogir with its many historical buildings and sights or a trip to Sevid.

Or a detour to the neighborhood in Sevid

In Sevid, a rather quiet and contemplative place on the Adriatic coast, hidden bays, untouched nature and fine sandy beaches await. Sevid is definitely recommended for a day at the beach. Vinisce is also well worth a visit. The charming place has a pretty village and, especially in summer, local festivals. There are also picturesque bays and untouched nature that offer pure relaxation and recreation.
