Primosten is a picturesque small town between the cities of Sibenik and Trogir.
The small town in Dalmatia is very winding and pretty to look at. The place used to be on an island, but it is now permanently connected to the mainland by a bridge and is therefore no longer considered an island.

The houses and their surroundings in the old town are very well maintained and on a walk you will discover lovingly prepared houses and hidden backyards, which have often been converted into pretty gardens.

The parish church stands on the highest point of the city and from there you can enjoy a fantastic view over the entire city and the sea. When the sun goes down, the place is popular to marvel at the fantastic and romantic sunsets.

Special climate

The local climate is special. Primosten is a particularly dry and dry place in Dalmatia. The dry climate is particularly popular with holidaymakers. All around the old town there are wonderful beaches that lead directly into the crystal clear Mediterranean Sea.

Families appreciate the close distance to the beaches, which can be reached quickly and easily, even with children and lots of luggage. There is a wide range of sports and leisure activities. If you want to take a leisurely excursion out to sea, you should borrow a pedal boat. The calm waters in the bay are ideal for this.

Nice restaurants and local tavernas

In the center there are nice restaurants and local taverns serving regional delicacies. Seafood and fish are definitely recommended, as they are often local and definitely freshly caught. If you still need some exercise after eating, you can take a walk along the coast and thanks to the round shape of the peninsula you can return to the starting point at the end. The children are particularly enthusiastic about the walk if you give them a fresh and homemade ice cream from one of the many ice cream parlors for dessert. Those who like to go out will find numerous bars on the promenade that invite you to have a cool drink. There is also a disco where you can immerse yourself in the nightlife until the early hours of the morning.
