Trogir is located in central Dalmatia. The entire old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The city is known for the buildings from the Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque periods. Numerous churches, bridges and buildings bear witness to bygone times.

The island of Ciovo is connected to Trogir by a bridge. From the bell tower of the Chapel of St. John you can enjoy a wonderful view from high above over the entire plain. The medieval city wall is still intact today and gives the place its special charm.

Definitely worth mentioning is the Kamerlengo fortress, which is illuminated at night and is beautiful to look at. There are countless churches and squares to marvel at in the city. Some of them can be visited and viewed. The contemporary witnesses of the epochs leave every visitor astonished. On a hot day, the old buildings also offer a welcome cooling off in the narrow streets

Fans of the Winnetou films may recognize certain corners of the city. The third part of the Winnetou films was shot in Trogir in 1965. Die-hard Winnetou fans should still remember the ride through the old streets. They are the streets of Trogir. But other films were also shot in the old town, including some scenes from the Game of Thrones series.

Beaches and snorkeling trips

Of course, bathing mermaids are not neglected either. The city in Dalmatia is known as a seaside resort. Idyllic sand and pebble beaches, go flat into the water, make the heart beat faster with bathing joys. There are various sports options. We definitely recommend a snorkeling excursion and observing the colorful underwater world in the crystal clear water.

Those who like it a little sportier and more adrenaline-charged can opt for a water ski or jet ski excursion.

Split the capital Dalmatia not far away

The next largest and second largest city in Croatia, Split, is located about 30 kilometers from the village. It is definitely worth taking a day trip to the beautiful city by the sea. The long Riviera invites you to stroll and linger.

Numerous restaurants and bars are available and there is nothing better than to end a mild summer evening on the terrace.
